I am of course thinking of the pinstripe jeans and white stiletto look which flooded the highways of suburban Britain in and around 1982. It is not to claim that the look didn’t look good on the catwalk or that indeed stilettos shouldn’t have been worn in any way. I’m of the opinion a personal accountability should be taken in order to make this occur. It is not going to get orchestrated by somebody at the top, nor should that be the expectation. If our organizations or social networks function as complicated adaptive systems, self-organizing bodies made up of independently working agents, then we would imagine this to be a method that may develop organically. And I think it will we just need a push.
